Description:
In the North-East of Piedmonte lies the Lake District, one of the most popular tourist attractions of Italy. Many famous persons of former ages visited these lakes and wrote about their experiences. One came to gape at the beautiful, historical villa’s, such as in Verbania the Villa Taranto with amazingly wonderful gardens in British style, and in Stresa the Villa Pallavicino, with a botanical garden and even a zoo. Most visitors spending their holidays here might be satisfied with just a visit to the three islands in the Lake Maggiore, the Isola Madre (the Mother Island), the Isola Bella (The Beautiful Island) and the Isola dei Pescatori (the Fishermen’s Island): artistic jewels in a sapphire lake. On an evening, you take the boat from Stresa to the Isola dei Pescatori, for instance, find a terrace and, whilst enjoying a drink or a complete meal, watch humanity as well as the setting sun and the arrival of the night, whilst many lights come on all along the lake, and the stars above start twinkling. We ask you: could there be something more romantic?

But even so, there are much more reasons valid for a holiday here. The light as well as the water of the lakes vary almost constantly in colour; then the many exotic plants, the majestic mountains in the background and the many picturesque, old villages and small towns, which are all nestled along the shores. We will not go on…

Along this beautiful, very romantic Lago Maggiore you will find this undetached bungalow, with fenced garden and terraces, viewing the lake and the castle of Angera. The bungalow is situated in a villa area at about 2 km. up the hill from the city of Lesa. The cities Stresa and Arona are at about 9 km. distance.

The bungalow is surrounded by a well-kept garden, offering complete privacy. The housekeeper, who does not speak English, lives at about 200 m. from the house.

Villa Panorama is built in a modern style (with, one might say, a bit of the 70’s about it), tastefully decorated and stylishly furnished. We say, “bungalow”, but it has two floors so let’s call it a bungalow with two floors – female logic! The walls are painted in light, bright colours and form a nice cadre for the “rooms with a view”. There is a living room with cosy, green couches, a dining room and a kitchen. Moreover, there are three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own small bathroom (shower combined with small bath – not really suitable for elderly people) and access to the upstairs terrace. The furniture is a mixture of good quality modern material with some antiques. There are two terraces, both with garden furniture and splendid view on the lake.

Lay-out:
Ground floor: Entrance, spacious living with open fire place, TV-sat, CD-player and French windows to the panoramic terrace, an ideal place for sultry summer evenings, a dining room with a table sitting 8, small kitchen with stove with 4 cooking elements, dish washer, espresso machine, refrigerator/freezer, micro wave and a small, electric oven. Toilet.
First floor: Spacious double bedroom with view on the lake and en-suite bathroom (small bath with hand shower) and access to the terrace; two twin bedrooms and en-suite bathroom (bath with hand shower).
De last mentioned 2 bedrooms are smaller than the master bedroom. The beds in the twin bedrooms can be joined.

N.B.: At the bottom of the hill at about 250 m down, separated from this house by other houses, trees and shrubs, there is a railway for only local connections. The house can only be reached via a small and winding road, that goes steeply uphill. Because of the lay-out, against the hill, there are height differences in the house; the entrée is to be reached via 6 steps down and, once inside, you reach the living via 8 steps down. For sport cars with a low gearing, it is not all that easy to reach this house.
This house is the ideal combination for one couple + children.

Possibilities for sports/excursions:
Much to see and do in the near surroundings. Of course, many water sports, such as sailing, wind surfing, swimming, boating and fishing. Surfboards for rent in Stresa, Belgirate and Lesa. There is a sports club in Lesa with 3 tennis courts and an Olympic swimming pool. There are two golf courses at about 20 min. drive by car and another 7 courses at about 50 min. drive.
You can walk to your heart’s content, a.o. in the Valle Grande (at about 35 km. away). Visits to Stresa, the Borromeo-islands as well as the Swiss cities Locarno and Bellinzona. Then there is Cannero, also called the Riviera of the Lago Maggiore, and Villa Taranto with its world famous botanic garden.

Distances:
Nearest shops in Lesa, at about 2 km. away (banks, restaurants, post office, and excellent take-away meals at the restaurant Rapanello), Stresa and Arona 9 km, Milan city 76 km, Malpensa Airport Milan 37 km, Como 80 km.

Particulars:

Minimal rental period 7 nights, from Saturday till Saturday. During low season other periods might be possible

Included in the rental price: Costs for gas, water and electricity and the usage of bed-, bath- and kitchen linens on the basis of a weekly change

Not included in the rental price: Local taxes, final cleaning € 80,00, costs for heating en telephone, according to use, to be paid before leaving

Deposit: Upon arrival, a deposit of € 800,00 has to be paid in cash and the local taxes

Check-in on the day of arrival between 04.00 – 07.00 p.m. Check-out on the day of departure between 08.00 - 10.00 a.m. Upon request and approval of the owner a late arrival is possible between 7.00 and 9.00 pm. for an extra fee of € 50,00
