Description:
Villa Il Giardino is situated in a very quiet position, high in the village of Positano, the centre of the Costiera Amalfitana. Internationally renowned as an important tourist and commercial resort, the area was often visited by famous people. Positano is easily accessible by rail and road, and has a small harbour where it is possible to take ferries to the islands of Capri and Ischia.

This property takes, offering spectacular views, its name from the beautiful terraced garden to the front of the house, which is almost unique in a steep village like Positano. At the bottom of the main garden there is an "orto" (kitchen garden).

The interiors of the villa are comfortably furnished and facilities include a fax machine and satellite TV. A particular feature of the house is the very light sitting- and dining room, which open through French windows to a beautiful terrace overlooking the garden and the sea. There it is possible to arrange cooking services for the guests.

This property is located in the historical part of Positano and therefore not reachable by car. The nearest parking area is at approx. 300 metres away, and parking spaces can be arranged in advance.

From a narrow, winding road, it is possible to walk down to the beach of Fornillo. It is possible to have airconditioning in the bedrooms at extra costs (€ 150,00 per week). The owner spends part of the year in a independent apartment in the lower ground floor.

This house is not suitable for disabled people and little children.

Ground floor: Entrance hall, dining room, sitting room with fireplace. All these rooms open through French windows to a large terrace, overlooking the garden and the sea. Kitchen, bathroom (shower only). An extra double bedroom with bathroom (shower only) is available at extra cost.
First floor: Master suite composed by double bedroom, small sitting room and bathroom (bath & shower), twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath & shower), twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only), double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only). All bedrooms have a private terrace.

Facilities:
Washing machine, dishwasher, fireplace, telephone.

Maid service 3 hours a day, 5 days a week

Particulars:

Minimum rental period 7 nights. The rental period always is from Saturday till Saturday. During the low-season, other periods may be possible

Included in the rental price: The usage of bed-, kitchen- and table linens on a basis of a weekly change, final cleaning, where applicable maid service

Not included in the rental price: Local taxes, costs for heating. Payment directly on the spot

You are expected to provide your own bath-/beach linens

Upon arrival, a deposit of € 500,00 is required. In case the accommodation disposes of a telephone with an outgoing line, an extra deposit of € 250,00 is also required. Both amounts to be paid in cash

Check-in on the day of arrival between 16.00-19.00 hrs. Check out on the day of departure before 10.00 hrs.

Many villa’s are situated in rural surroundings, sometimes only to be reached via a so-called "strada bianca", an unpaved road. Please enquire prior to booking if the accommodation of your choice can be reached with your own (or your rental) car

Extra maid service is possible; please state so upon booking. Payment directly on the spot

In most cases, pets are not allowed so in case your booking depends on whether or not you can take a pet along, please enquire beforehand. If permission is granted, an extra deposit will be applicable
