VILLE SAN VIVALDO

Description:
In one of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany, embedded in a hilly landscape, the Empolese Valdelsa, full of vineyards, olive groves and woods, lies Montaione, a nice village with a rich history. The surroundings are perfect for those who love to hike and bike, with a large variety of routes. But there is much more to do; quite a lot of old villages, cities and castles as well as museums and wonderful restaurants plus wine tasting possibilities await your visit.

Close to Montaione you find a beautiful complex of two holiday homes (for respectively 16 and 10 pers. on a property of 80 ha. (the only other building is that of the owners). The site is absolutely quiet, in the middle of a wood with lots of wild life, a.o. wild boar. The accommodation is ideal for a group of 26 persons, including children who will enjoy the space and freedom.

San Vivaldo I and II are two typically Tuscan houses, both counting two floors. They are spacious and well furnished, in Tuscan style, with terra cotta floors and beamed ceilings, and equipped with all modern comfort. Both houses have a large, open fire place (San Vivaldo I even has three!) and other facilities like a dishwasher, safe and washing machine (to be shared), sat.-TV and WiFi-Internet connection. There is a large swimming pool with separate children’s pool, from which you can enjoy a lovely view on the surroundings. Outside barbecue and wood-oven also available. Both houses have their own outside, furnished terrace. The houses can also be rented separately.

Conclusion: Both houses are spacious, and the outside area is “first class”; the terrace of the villa for 16 persons deserves extra mentioning. The owner of the houses lives on the premises and is always available in case you need help in whatsoever form.

Possibilities for sports/excursions:
This area is ideal for walking and (mountain)biking. Tennis court at about 6 km. distance, riding 7 km; golf in Castelfalfi, 8 km. Lots of possibilities for excursions; all interesting cities and villages are within easy driving distance – pls. see “Distances”.
You cannot properly “see” the city of Lucca in one visit, but if you cannot spare the time: you could choose the sportive approach and walk or bike along the city walls. In case your favourite hobby is “sitting on a terrace”(one of our favourites, too…) we can wholeheartedly advise you to go to one of the most special “piazza’s” of Tuscany, the Piazza L’Anfiteatro. A “must”, as a matter of course, is Florence, with so many interesting museums and lots of wonderful shopping to do. There are lots and lots of shops, from the designer ones to the more tourist-minded ones, and lots of markets. Moreover, there is Siena with a splendid cathedral and its world-famous piazza, the “Campo” and, as a matter of course, also numerous lovely shops. The leaning tower of Pisa, just in case you never saw this with your own eyes: You will not be disappointed. And there are some other, very beautiful old buildings on the same square! And buy some “trash” at one of the shops lining these buildings….The sea-shore is not that far away, and also worth-wile a visit. You might want to relax there after some hours in Pisa itself.

San Vivaldo I (16 pers., 320 m²):
Ground floor: Entrance with a small flight of stairs (4 steps); spacious terrace with sitting- and dining area, hallway with stair case, living - 3 steps down – with open fire place, dining area with 3 tables and chairs, French windows to the garden, kitchen with open fire place (stove with 6 cooking elements, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker); toilet with bidet and basin; 2 twin bedrooms with en suite bathroom with shower.
First floor: Two twin bedrooms with entrance to a terrace, double bedroom with entrance to a terrace, double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms, bathroom with bath, bathroom with shower.
San Vivaldo II (10 pers., 200 m2):
Ground floor: Entrance via the kitchen (with open fire place, 4 burners, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and table with 4 chairs), living/dining room (the sitting area exists only of a large sofa) with entrance to a covered terrace, 2 twin bedrooms, double bedroom, bathroom with shower.
First floor: Space with sitting area, bathroom with shower, 2 double bedrooms with en suite bathroom with shower.

Particulars:
Minimal rental period 7 nights, from Saturday till Saturday. In low season other periods might be possible. Mentioned price for San Vivaldo I applies to accommodation for 12 persons; costs per person above the 12 are € 80,00 per week

Included in the rental price: Water, gas, electricity, usage of bed-, bath- and kitchen linens on a basis of a weekly change, and wood for the open fire place.

Not included in the rental price: Final cleaning € 175,00 for San Vivaldo I and € 120,00 for San Vivaldo II. Heating costs: San Vivaldo I € 310,00 per week/San Vivaldo II € 155,00 per week. Baby bed: € 35,00 per week (sheets available) and an extra bed € 80,00 per week These extra costs to be paid before leaving

Deposit: Upon arrival, a deposit of € 150,00 per house is requested.

Check-in on the day of arrival between 16.00 – 19.00 hrs. Check-out on the day of departure at 09.00 hrs.

The swimming pool (13 x 6 m, depth 1,40 m; children’s pool 6 x 3 m, depth 0,45 m) is open from May 1st till September 30th, depending on the weather conditions

Pets are allowed, provided permission has been asked at booking and granted by the owners via Elisabeth Travel. In this case, no extra costs are involved
