Villa di Tizzano is a splendid, 16th century villa. The property of one of Florence's oldest families and respected wine makers, stands on a hill overlooking the Tizzano Chianti vineyards.
Interestingly, the site of Villa di Tizzano originally housed an 11th century observation tower. In the 16th century the tower has been enlarged and adapted to be restored and completed in the 19th century. The villa offers breathtaking views of rolling, vineyard hills and the Duomo of Florence. The picturesque, two-acre garden was designed in 1930 by the famous English architect Cecil Pinsent. The garden leads up to the front yard of the house and makes the perfect spot for reading, relaxing and al fresco dining.The pool is positioned on one side of the garden overlooking the property's vineyards as they extend all the way down to the Florence Duomo and the bell-tower of Giotto.
Newly restored and refurbished by its owners Villa di Tizzano has charming interiors, beautiful decorations and trompe l'oeil effects, not to mention the beautiful antique furniture.
Lay-out:
Ground floor: Large entrance hall, dining room giving onto a large, fully-equipped kitchen. Living room leading to the front yard, second living room with parquet floor, fireplace and television. Large decorated ballroom with painted, terracotta floor.
First floor: Two-ramp stairway leading up to a large wardrobe and corridor. to the right there is a double bedroom with basin and bathroom with shower. On the left there is a spacious, double bedroom with sitting room and fireplace and a small en suite bathroom. Double bedroom with parquet floor, fireplace, and en suite bathroom with tub. A twin bedroom completes this floor.
Second floor: Wide stairway leading up to a double bedroom on the right with en suite bathroom with bath, three twin bedrooms sharing a bathroom with shower. Covered terrace overlooking the garden.

Minimal rental period: 7 nights, from Saturday till Saturday. In the low season, sometimes other periods might be possible.
Included in the rental price: usage of bed-, bath- and kitchen linens on the basis of a weekly change, the final cleaning, there were indicated cleaning services, all taxes and administrative charges. Also included heating costs, up till 300 kW. Eventual extra costs to be paid prior to departure, according to usage.
To be paid prior to departure: telephone costs.
Extra costs: children’s cot € 20,00, high chair € 15,00 for the total rental period. In some cases an extra bed can be placed; please state your requirement at booking and await confirmation of such.
The swimming pool (12 x 9 m) is open from June 1st till September 30th, depending on the weather conditions. Outside this period, if you would want the pool to be opened, please inquire at booking for the possibilities.
Upon arrival, a deposit of € 4.000,00 is required.
Check-in on the day of arrival between 16.00 – 19.00 hrs. Check-out on the day of departure before 10.00 hrs.
A cancellation insurance is very much recommended.
Small pets are sometimes allowed, provided you enquire at booking. Please await confirmation of such.

Available on request (at booking): possibilities for breakfast service, local chef, extra cleaning service, shopping service, baby sitting, car with chauffeur, several courses to be followed (cooking, Italian language, painting in water colours, ceramics).
